March always means Spring time to me. The darkness of winter is clearing, the mornings are lighter as well as the evenings. Slowly, slowly, the sunshine is spending longer with us.
That being said, whilst the rain is pouring down my windows currently, I’m eagerly anticipating Spring. I’ve bought the season into my house at least. Just a few more days to go…
Go and see the beauty of the spring flowers. They’re welcoming us into the lighter days.
Big love to you all! Xx
Today I want to share with you something that really has literally just caught my attention: a 27ft Knife Angel.
The Angel is made from over 100,000 knives that were handed in as part of a national amnesty. It’s also engraved with messages from families of the victims of knife crime. This is so poignant and emotive, I absolutely had to share this with you all.
Big love xx
Hope you’re all well and having an excellent weekend. Time for me to share with you another polaroid I’ve taken recently.
This picture was taken in the beautiful city of Bruges, Belgium. There was the last lingering bit of snow on the ground and ice on the water. Bruges is one of my favourite places so to visit again was wonderful. I hope you like it!
Enjoy the last of January! I hope it treats you well. Roll on February, the month of love!
Big love all xx
I’m delighted to share with you today a quick post, which is in fact the forth Picture Perfect Polaroid post, featuring the stunning Angel of the North in Gateshead. I hope you like it!
As you can see, there is a new addition to the feature: a Christmas hat. This reached the news on Christmas Eve. Super exciting!
Big love all! Xx
Hello Lovelies. 🎄
Happy December Everyone! I hope you’re all well and keeping nice and cosy.
Just a quick post to share with you today: the third edition to my Picture Perfect Polaroids feature. Hope you like! It shows the most beautiful Christmas tree which is currently standing tall in the centre of Hull. I’ve visited it a lot because it’s just so lovely. The quote below came to my mind soon after.
Big love all. Have an excellent December. Let me know what exciting festivities you get up to and all the amazing books you end up reading. 🎅🏻Xx
Time for my second Picture Perfect Polaroid post! On Sunday 11th November, the nation fell silent to honour those who have died fighting in conflict. It is incredible that it has been 100 years since the end of World War One.
I marked this by visiting Hull Minster to have some time to think and reflect. Hull Minster have a beautiful and poignant display to mark this occasion created by Martin Waters. I was incredibly moved and blown away when I saw it and I absolutely had to share it with you all today.
This installation is on display at the Minster until November 25th. I urge you to go and see it. You’re welcome to donate and add a poppy to the display too which is amazing to feel a part of that installation. I found it incredibly inspiring. We must never forget.
Big love all. Xx
I’m proud/excited/nervous to introduce a new type of post to my blog: Picture Perfect Polaroids.
I love taking photos of anything that catches my eye and I wanted to share these with you all. Sometimes, you don’t need words to show something inspiring.
My first Picture Perfect post celebrates Autumn. I hope you like it!
Whilst this post is short and sweet, get out there, watch the leaves dance to the ground, kick them up again and listen to them crunch. It’s a beautiful thing.
Big love to you all xx
