It’s been a while since I posted a photo I’ve taken and today, as the sun is shining, this feels like as good a time as any.
As part of our allowed daily exercise, I’ve taken a walk around my local park. It’s really beautiful as the flowers are starting to bloom, the ducks are pairing off and there’s this sense of new life all around. There really is beauty in the lockdown.
I hope you all like it!
Keep in touch all. Don’t forget to see the beauty in everything around you. It’s there and it’s flourishing.

Time for another Picture Perfect Polaroid. I’ve not done one of these since last year so I feel like it’s well over due!
This photo was taken last Saturday at the amazing Croft Castle. I highly recommend a visit here. It’s just so stunning. There’s plenty of beautiful walks too. I really fell on my feet at their second hand book shop too, bringing away with me 13 (!!!) books to read. I’ve literally ran out of shelf space. Anyway, for more information click here.
There’s a bit more daylight in the evenings now so embrace it. It means spring is on its way!
Have the best weekend everyone!
Big love xx
Hello Lovely People!
Happy December! 🎄🎅☃️🤶 This is such a wonderful time of the year. I love to see all the decorated Christmas trees, the sparkly lights, the luscious foods and of course, the festive reads. I have indeed read one festive read this month: Sophie Kinsella’s Christmas Shopaholic which I will be reviewing this month.
Anyway, I hope you’re well and December is treating you kindly. If you’re anything like me, you’re loving the fact that we can legitimately eat chocolate every day for the sake of the season! 🍫
However, before the excitement of chocolate and all things Christmassy kicks in, I wanted to share with you a rare day off that I had this week. I’m crazily marking away in the mock period (drowning is a better choice of word) but our heating broke at school which meant that on Tuesday we all had a day off. It was incredibly strange being out and about on Tuesday but I wanted to do something that really made it count. I’ve always wanted to go and see the seals at Donna Nook but never really got there. This was my moment. It was meant to be! It was a cold, crisp yet sunny day. The view was incredible.
Donna Nook Info:
Donna Nook is a beautiful stretch of coastline between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet in Lincolnshire. It covers more than 10 kilometres and every year along this coastline, grey seals come to give birth to their pups near the sand dunes. The Ministry of Defence still maintains part of the area and it is still used by RAF Donna Nook as a practice site. The sign below did make me chuckle.
As soon as I saw the seals I was just in complete awe. They were perfectly relaxed and so beautiful. I took about 100 photos – no joke. I’ve never been so close to them. I felt like Sir David Attenborough. What I found most endearing is that they snore when they’re sleeping so naturally I made about 10 videos of that too.
So for this festive Saturday morning, one of my gifts to you are these ridiculously cute photos, taken by yours truly. I hope they bring you as much squealy delight as they did me. ☺️🥰
There are just no words for how beautiful these animals are. We are so lucky to have them pick a place near us where we can see this wonderful spectacle.
My Christmas gift to myself is to blog more so stay tuned!
Big love to you all. Let’s catch up soon! Xx
October is here which means the month is full of changing weather, brighter lights and darker nights and of course, spooky events ready for Halloween. October for the people of Hull also means Hull Fair is back in town.
Hull Fair is one of the largest travelling fairs in Europe. It’s been a part of Hull’s history for over 700 years which I think is pretty impressive. Over time it has evolved and adapted, but it’s still as vibrant as it was when it originally began. If you’re interested in knowing more, click here.
I just wanted to share with you all a picture I took at the top of the Big Wheel. It’s actually quite high and a bit blowy at the top. Nevertheless, the view is absolutely worth it. I hope you enjoy it!
I hope you’re all well and having an excellent weekend. I’ll be back soon with a another post!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Picture Perfect Polaroid so I wanted to share one of my favourite snaps from my recent holiday.
I had the amazing opportunity to go diving, something I’ve not done for a long time. However, being a complete and utter water baby, I couldn’t refuse. Thank goodness that I didn’t because I got to swim with the most incredible sea turtle.
There has been so much attention, quite rightfully so, on looking after our oceans. Whilst I was diving I saw a coffee cup, plastic bag and two inflatables drifting out. We absolutely need to work together to protect our beautiful, blue planet.
This moment was one of the most inspirational and incredible moments of my life. I absolutely will never forget it. What an amazing opportunity. None of the other dives that followed this saw the turtle either. These glimpses are so rare and so wonderful. I’m in complete awe. I really hope you love this photo as much as I do.
Until next time! Big love all xxx
