Picture Perfect Polaroids #2

Hey Everyone!

Time for my second Picture Perfect Polaroid post! On Sunday 11th November, the nation fell silent to honour those who have died fighting in conflict. It is incredible that it has been 100 years since the end of World War One.

I marked this by visiting Hull Minster to have some time to think and reflect. Hull Minster have a beautiful and poignant display to mark this occasion created by Martin Waters. I was incredibly moved and blown away when I saw it and I absolutely had to share it with you all today.

This installation is on display at the Minster until November 25th. I urge you to go and see it. You’re welcome to donate and add a poppy to the display too which is amazing to feel a part of that installation. I found it incredibly inspiring. We must never forget.

Big love all. Xx

Remembrance Day 2015

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scare heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Love and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from falling hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

Always admired, never forgotten.
Big love xx
