Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them – Film

Hey everyone!

I’ve missed you all immensely. I hope you’ve all been keeping well. My absence can only be explained by getting a cold and feeling rubbish followed by long, long days at work. However, this weekend has been quite delightful. I went to an 80s night last night (tutu and all!) for a friends birthday and today I finally managed to see the gorgeous Eddie Redmayne in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. Boy oh boy, it did not disappoint.

A brief outline for you… The film follows Newt Scamander in 1926 after he has just completed a global trip to find and document the range of extraordinary magical creatures. Newt arrives in New York on a brief stopover, which could have easily gone without incident. However, (the rather adorable) Jacob, a muggle, becomes involved after a magical case gets misplaced and some of Newt’s fantastic beasts escape.

I loved it. I can’t wait for the next one. I’m feeling genuinely excited that there will be 5 of these in total. But, and don’t hate me for saying it, I did miss Harry, Ron and Hermoine. I know they are much later in time, but growing up with them makes me feel like I’m part of their gang! It was still awesomely awesome though! I’m off to find myself a magical case now!

Big love & I promise my absence won’t be this long next time. X

  2. The trailer looked amazing! I remembered I was reading the book few months back.

It’s astonishing how something as fictional as magical creatures could be made to seem real. That’s the feat of wonderful writing. I hope the movie has done justice with the awesomeness of this chronicle. I need to watch it 🙂
